A former Sri Lanka national cricket team squad member who also represented Sri Lanka ‘A’ as well as the Sri Lankan U19, U20 and U24 sides. Sura has played 127 First Class matches with 379 wickets and scoring 2488 runs.He has also played over 10 Years in the UK and Australia - as a Professional Cricket Player/Coach. Sura is a Qualified Level 2 coach - England and Australia Cricket Board.He has had experience coaching first class cricket teams in Sri Lanka where he coached and mentored a number of Sri Lankan National Players such as Dilruwan Perera, Prasanna Jayawardane, Chamara Silva, Sujeewa de Silva, Charitha Buddika Fernando. Silva Spin Bowling Clinic has been successfully operating in Melbourne since 2017. As a part of the Australian cricket community, Sura is using his experience and knowledge to teach the spin bowling 'tricks of the trade' to anyone who is keen to learn, he is especially interested in helping young spinners develop their abilities.

Lincolnshire cricketer with over 6000 career runs and 460 wickets for Louth Cricket Club. Stewart spent a two year stint representing Tamil Union Cricket Club, Colombo Sri Lanka. During this time he was lucky enough to play first class cricket for the club, alongside World Cup winners Upul Chandana and Muttiah Muralitharan. His time at the club included a spell of 6 for 41 in the first class game, which was his career highlight.
Stewart is still heavily invested in Sri Lanka and retains a passionate love for not only Sri Lankan cricket, but also its culture and wildlife.
Now an Assistant Principal in a Lincolnshire Secondary School. Stewart spent most of his career teaching Physical Education, during which time he organized numerous Rugby and Cricket Tours, as well as leading students on Ski Trips and Overseas expeditions.
Upul is a former Sri Lanka ‘A’ team wicketkeeper/batter. He is a qualified ECB Level 3 high performance coach.
He played for the Sri Lanka U19 Cricket team that toured the UK in 1992 and scored nine half centuries. He also toured with this team to Malaysia under the captaincy of Mahela Jayawardena. Upul represented the Sri Lanka U24 cricket team in 1995 playing against South Africa.
In Sri Lankan first class cricket he played for the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) and Ragama CC. Between 2014 and 2016 he was the head coach for Chilaw Marians CC.
Upul played league cricket for 13 seasons in the UK. In 1999 and 2000 he represented the Burslem CC in the North Staffordshire and the Cheshire league where he scored over 2000 runs. From 2005 to 2013 he played at Penrith CC in the North Lancashire and Cumbria League. Here he played 158 matches and scored over 10 000 runs which included 25 centuries, 58 half centuries and took 150 wickets. Upul finished with the New Brighton CC in the Liverpool District competition scoring over 1000 runs.
During his long professional coaching career he has mentored international players, Ben Stokes (ENG) and Travis Birt (AUS).
In 2000 he played for Heyfield CC in the Sale Maffra Association and was club coach at Curtin Victoria Park CC (VTCA) from 2009 until 2013. He was player of the year in this association in 2011/12 averaging over 90 with the bat. Further coaching was conducted at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) 2015/16 and Sunbury United 2021/22.
His first class career comprised 153 matches where he scored 7061 runs including 12 centuries and 32 half centuries. He also took 266 catches and 37 stumpings.
Brenton Jones is an Australian who currently lives in Bendigo, central Victoria with his wife Lauren and son Rafferty. Having been self employed for 15 years Brenton has sought a change in lifestyle to follow his passion for cricket. Playing for over 35 years throughout Victoria and North Queensland he has met many wonderful people where lot of them now are great friends. Its this love for the sport that led him to meet Upul and Sura who have encouraged and helped him set up the Central Vic Cricket Academy for girls and boys to follow their dreams and enjoy what this great game has to offer. Along with cricket his other passion is travelling, having visited and explored over 20 different countries throughout the years. Combining these wonderful things to give others the chance to travel and enjoy both cricket and cultural experiences is something he is very excited to offer.
